Collaboration that converts at scale
Product Feeds built to win
Growth that can be proven
Smart spend, bigger gains

The Background

Secret Sales is on a mission to transform the antiquated off-price industry into a profitable, on-brand component of online D2C strategies for brands. The brand uses Google Shopping for New Customer acquisition, which, with over £1 billion of inventory and 500,000 products onsite, provides a strong opportunity for a Google-first approach to their marketing activity. Secret Sales was looking for a partner in the CSS space that could help implement its ‘breadth not depth’ strategy.

The Challenge

Like many e-commerce retailers, Secret Sales faced increasing cost-per-click inflation and diminishing returns on existing Google Ads campaigns. To drive incremental sales at scale without cannibalising their existing internal campaigns, Secret Sales turned to Redbrain.

The Approach

01/05

Building for incremental growth

Complementing internal campaigns, never competing

Feed first, always

Optimised product data powered visibility

Targeting that moves fast

Seasonal and demand-led pushes reached high-intent shoppers ready to buy

Collaboration that counts

Open data-sharing and full transparency delivered measurable ROAS.

Performance that can be proven

Every result validated through ROAS testing.

Redbrain focused on driving complementary, scalable growth that would be incremental to the retailer’s ongoing internal activity, without driving costs up. This strategy started to bear fruit quickly, with the team using their expertise to deliver highly converting traffic. Starting with feed optimisation, Redbrain and Secret Sales ensured that the marketplace’s product feed was as optimised as possible, showcasing the brand’s vast product range. With targeted pushes based on seasonality and customer demand, Redbrain honed in on high-intent new customers looking for Secret Sales products.

Key to the partnership's success was the collaborative and transparent approach that both teams committed to from the outset. Secret Sales shared insights from their internal activity, promotions, and strong performers, working directly with Redbrain’s Account Management and PPC Traffic teams to unlock further growth between the two companies. At each stage, Redbrain was transparent about performance to validate Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).

The Results

A partnership for impact

+215%

Sales volume

5-10%

New acquisition weekly growth

+46%

Following this approach, an impactful partnership for growth has been established, with minimal impact on internal campaigns. This successful collaboration has positioned Redbrain as a trusted growth partner, achieving significant results for Secret Sales:

  • Sales volume has more than doubled (an increase of 215%) year-on-year from 2023-2024
  • Conversion from click to sale increased by 46% from 2024 to 2025, demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-intent customers ready to purchase
  • Redbrain’s CPA model has also been particularly helpful. The CSS premium partner unlocks an additional 5-10% growth weekly for new acquisitions on a controlled ROAS model

Testimonials

Customer Testimonial

We have a brilliant relationship, and I would more than recommend working with the team at Redbrain. There are common misconceptions in the industry about the level of incrementality that CSS partners drive, and actually, this has been one of our key, incremental levers for growth.
