We were recently made aware of an incredible charity creating priceless opportunities. The Sean Devereux Children's Fund raise funds in the UK to educate African children in Sean's name.
Sean Devereux was assassinated in Somalia in 1993, whilst engaged on a UNICEF food distribution programme. He had spent his adult life teaching and supporting children, principally in Liberia, and he died continuing to help those in desperate need in civil-war striven Somalia.

His family set up the Sean Devereux Children's Fund (SDCF) to continue to support the education of children in Liberia. They do that through their sponsorship programmes and fund-raising events.
The Fund provides aid to African children in need, for projects that offer self-sufficiency and are sustainable in the longer term. Through education the Fund strives to give children the opportunity to empower themselves for the future.
Since 1993, the fund (originally called the Sean Devereux Liberian Children's Fund) has generated over £1.25m for children in Liberia, Tanzania, Burkina Faso and Somalia amongst others.

Their Sponsorship Programme is the mainstay of their fundraising as it enables them to commit to the ongoing education of hundreds of children in Liberia. We wanted to show our support with a corporate donation which we understand will roughly equate to paying for 20+ children to be educated for a year at one of their schools.
