It's that time again, we have a new challenge!
Recently we heard about about this great challenge that takes place for the Brathay Trust and our Redbrain 'Feel Good Club' member Adam 'Tango' Holland will be taking part, his story is truly inspiring. The Brathay 10in10 is a 10 marathons in 10 days event and one of the "UK's toughest running events." We understand our strava club is predominantly a cycling club, so how could we support this in our own way? By asking people to complete a cycling marathon, that's how!
Of course we know that is a BIG ask, so as long as you make it into the Top 100 on our leader board, you are in with a chance of winning a prize.
Here's the challenge:
Redbrain will donate £10K to the Brathay Trust if 50 people or more complete a cycling marathon (100 miles) in the week 16th-22nd May inclusive. Plus an extra £5K in prizes for various winners' charities of choice:
• Prizes for distance > 1st £1500, 2nd £1000, 3rd £500
• Lottery Prizes 4 x £500 - Everyone in the Top 100 on the leader board (excluding top 3) will get a lottery entry
The Brathay Trust are a wonderful organisation with the charitable purpose of improving the life chances of thousands of young people in real need every year. This is why we wanted to make them the beneficiary of our donation to support the great work they do. They deliver innovative self-development and support programmes for children, young people and families that promote the core social and emotional attitudes, skills and capabilities to enable a lifetime of wellbeing.
We do have a few rules too for our challenge:
• In the pursuit of fairness all previous distance prize winners will be eligible for lottery prize entry only
• Results will be determined by data within the strava club by midnight 22nd May
• All winners’ data will be verified
We hope you all join in as your participation regardless of distance is what really matters to us 🙂
