Daily Aneurysm--4/1/02

Well, kids it's been
exactly one year since we've opened our doors. One
year. One year of hate mail. One year of swapping
links with other webmasters, only to remain at about
4000 hits a day. One year of hour after hour, day
after day, week after week, year after...(well not
year after year, but week after week, for sure)
of laboring at the computer trying to think of funny
content to fill the site with. One year of losing
money every month just to keep the site up. One
year of mailing out stickers to surfers who don't
even appreciate them. One year of begging our writers
to submit stories, so you the ungrateful surfer,
can kill a few minutes of your boring existence.
One year of my life that I have given to you, that
I'll never get back. (Unless of coarse someone actually
builds a working time machine, in which case I will
return to the past and rethink the whole redbrain.com
idea and you won't even know I said any of this
stuff.) Anyhoo....
I think it's appropriate, and quite fitting, that
I used today to officially close our doors. I know
you may think that this is an April fool's gag,
but I can assure you that it's not. It's been fun.
(Actually it hasn't, but what the fuck else am I
going to say) But now the fun is over. I have a
real life with real things to do. A real job. Real
responsibilities. I'm sure you'll just move on to
the next site. Suck it dry till it's nothing more
then a lifeless shell. Chew it up, spit it out and
move on to the next. It's unfortunate that you never
realize how much work actually goes into a site
like this. But I'm sure you don't care. So I won't
bore you with the details. So with that, I would
like to part with one final thought.....I got you
you dumb mother fucker! I aint going nowhere. You
aint gonna get rid of us that easy. And now on with
the big 1 year anniversary special addition update......
